On the final medal standing, team Kenya is ranked 15th on the medal standing, this is a remarkable achievement taking into consideration, the doping issues that surrounded the team before they left and the lack of seriousness on the Kenya Olympics Committee, who are facing serious allegations of abuse of office and other malpractices.

This journey has been challenging with Kenya glaring at its ban in the International Sporting world due to doping allegations. However on the 21st of June, World Anti-Doping Code as well as International Olympic Committee allowed the Kenya participation, this was great relief to all Kenyans.
Among the 82 Kenyans who sort for gold in Rio is Shehzana Anwar; the 26 years old archer and the Team’s Rio 2016 Summer Olympics Flag Bearer.

Shehzana Anwar did not manage to go past the qualification stage, but she represented Kenya in archery and was one of the few 64 archers who participated at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics Women Individual Archery events.
Other Team Kenya members are David Rudisha; who is one of the best 800 metres Athlete in the world and has already defended his title and won a gold medal becoming the second person to successfully defend an Olympics 800 metres gold medal, it just amazing how he did it. The Sports Kenya is taking part in Rio 2016 are Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Rugby, Swimming and Weight Lifting.
