Rio 2016 Summer Olympics Men Football Schedule

For the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics men football sport, there are already 16 Qualified men teams which will participate later this year, actually in the coming summer. These competion for the football sport will start some days earlier and will be in in seven Rio 2016 Summer Olympics football sport host cities and venues. Six of these venues are outside Rio de Janeiro 16 men teams have qualified for the Rio 2016 and 12 teams have qualified for the Summer Olympics Women football sport The Rio 2016 Summer Olympics Football Sport for men and women will be in 4 distinct parts. .These parts are:

1. Knockout Stage or the group stage,

2. The quarter finals,

3. The semifinals,

4. The bronze stage

5. The gold medal stage

Knockout Stage or the group stage Schedule

The biggest and the first part is the knockout stage or the group stage. This will involve 24 matches. These 24 matches will be among 16 teams segmented into 4 groups; Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D. For now except for Brazil which placed in group A, the other teams are yet to be slotted in the respective groups.

The group matches will kick off on the 4th of August and end on the 10th of August. Each group member will play three matches, all the teams will first play on the 4th of August, and their second match will be on the 7th of August, while the final group matches will be played on the 10th of August.

The quarter finals will be between every two teams which topped their groups. Each winning team is paired with a runners-up team in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics Football Quarter finals. The final matches in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics football sport will take place from 17th August to 20th August. The final match for the gold medal competition will take place at the main Olympics Stadium; Maracana Stadium in Rio.

Only four men teams will have reached this stage of the game with only 3 medals to be shared that means a team will have this far only to empty handed.
